Privacy Policy

for HealthVibes (healthvibes.net) · Last updated: 5 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information HealthVibes ("we", "us", the "Site") collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. The Site is a single-topic content website operated by HealthVibes. By using the Site or signing in to it, you agree to the practices described here.

The short version. We are built to hold as little about you as possible:

1. Who we are

The Site is operated by HealthVibes. For any privacy question, or to request deletion of your data, contact us at www.healthvibes.net@gmail.com. This contact address is ours; providing it to you does not mean we collect visitors' email addresses (we do not).

2. Information we collect

2a. When you sign in (Facebook, Google, or Apple)

Signing in is optional and is only needed to comment or rate articles. We use third-party sign-in ("OAuth") so that we never see or store your password. When you sign in with Facebook Login, Google, or Apple, we receive and store only:

We do not request, receive, or store your email address, your friends list, your posts, or any other profile field. We do not post to your social account or take any action on it.

2b. Content you create

2c. Usage and analytics

To understand what content is useful and to keep the Site working, we record activity tied to a pseudonymous visitor identifier (a random visitor_id), and — if you are signed in — to your pseudonymous member identifier:

We do not retain your raw IP address as long-term data, and we do not use cross-site advertising trackers.

2d. Push notifications (only if you opt in)

If you choose to enable browser push notifications, we store the technical subscription endpoint your browser provides so we can send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time in your browser settings.

3. How we use your information

InformationWhy we use it
Display name & avatarTo attribute your comments and ratings to you on the Site.
Pseudonymous account idTo recognise you across visits without holding your email or password.
Comments & ratingsTo publish your contributions and to moderate them for safety and civility (see §4).
Usage & analyticsTo measure which articles are helpful, diagnose problems, and improve the content — in aggregate and per-journey, keyed to the pseudonymous id.
Push endpointTo deliver the notifications you asked for.

4. Comments and moderation

Comments that pass automated safety checks appear on the Site immediately and are reviewed after publication. We (and an automated moderation process) may retract, hide, or reply to a comment if it is unsafe, uncivil, off-topic, or breaches our rules. Replies from the Site are clearly marked as such. Moderation and trust information is kept to run the Site and is not shared externally.

5. Affiliate links

The Site participates in affiliate programs (for example Amazon and other retail affiliate networks). Some outbound product links are affiliate links, and a click may be attributed so that we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer you visit has its own privacy policy governing what it collects once you leave our Site.

6. Social platform APIs (Pinterest and Meta)

HealthVibes uses the Pinterest API and the Meta (Facebook) Graph API to publish our own original content to our own Pinterest boards and Facebook Page. These integrations are used for outbound publishing only.

Disconnection and deletion. If our Pinterest or Meta connection is revoked or disconnected — by us or by the platform — we stop all API retrieval immediately and delete any stored data derived from that platform within 30 days.

HealthVibes is not endorsed by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or administered by Pinterest, Inc. or Meta Platforms, Inc. "Pinterest", "Pin", "Facebook", and "Instagram" are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe the integrations.

7. Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of strictly functional cookies / local-storage entries: to keep you signed in during a session, and to hold the pseudonymous visitor_id used for analytics. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only:

9. Data security and retention

Member and visitor data is encrypted at rest. Because we do not store your email address or long-term IP, the sensitivity of what we hold is deliberately low. We keep your contributions and the activity tied to your pseudonymous id for as long as your account exists or until you ask us to delete it (see §10), after which we remove or de-identify it.

10. Your rights and how to delete your data

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the data we hold about you. To do so:

On a verified request we will delete your display name, avatar, comments, ratings, and the activity tied to your pseudonymous identifier. Because we never stored your email address, we identify your data by your pseudonymous account id. If you signed in with Facebook, you can also remove the Site from your Facebook account's Settings → Apps and Websites, which revokes our access; email us to also erase what we already hold.

11. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

12. International visitors

The Site may be operated from, and its data processed in, a country different from yours. By using the Site you consent to that processing consistent with this policy.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made prominent on the Site.
